Darvaish Life is a biannual journal (January–June; July–December) peer-reviewed, open-access publication covering all topics in science and technology. It publishes high-quality original research articles, review articles, short communications, and clinical articles/case reports in areas including Agriculture, Veterinary/Animal Sciences, Life/Biomedical sciences, and allied disciplines.
Preference is given to original articles that develop new concepts or experimental approaches and are not merely repositories of scientific data. The journal aims to be an important forum for researchers from academic and private sectors to exchange the latest results, especially in science and technology in a broad sense.

- The purpose of Darvaish Life is to publish original research papers, review articles, clinical articles/case reports, and short communications that contribute significantly to the knowledge in the scientific field.
- English is the official language of this journal.
- Preference will be given to original articles that develop new concepts or experimental approaches and are not merely repositories of scientific data.
- To verify originality, submitted manuscripts will be checked by an originality detection service. Maintaining a Similarity Index below 19% and a similarity from any single source below 5% is the responsibility of the authors.
- The decision of acceptance or rejection lies with the Editor, based on recommendations of the Editorial Board members and/or invited reviewers.
- Manuscripts are not rejected solely for poor English or grammatical mistakes — authors will be given the chance to improve their language.
Authors can withdraw their manuscripts at any stage from submission to acceptance. However, withdrawal is not possible once the article has been published online.
It is the responsibility of the Editor and the management of Darvaish Life to take reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred. Any reported misconduct will be dealt with appropriately.
Authors are required to review the Publication Ethics and Policies document before submission. The management is committed to maintaining a high academic standard and is impartial to religious, nationality, and ideological issues.
Only manuscripts whose contents have not been published elsewhere and are not under consideration in any other journal are accepted. All manuscripts must follow ethical guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Any manuscript found to contain plagiarised content will be removed from the website and the author's employer will be notified for appropriate action.
The contents published in Darvaish Life represent the opinions of the authors. Neither the Editor nor the Publisher is responsible for opinions expressed or plagiarism committed by the author(s).
Double-Blind Peer Review is the prime policy of Darvaish Life. Neither reviewers know to whom the paper belongs, nor do authors know who reviewed their paper. Both identities are fully masked.
- All submitted articles undergo peer review with objective, unbiased judgments.
- Manuscripts are sent for peer review to expert reviewers in the relevant field.
- Reviewers must not have any conflict of interest; if one exists, it is their duty to return the manuscript to the Editor without reviewing.
- Authors must ensure their manuscripts are prepared so they do not reveal author identities to reviewers, either directly or indirectly.
- Authors are encouraged to provide 3–4 names of leading scientists in the major field, including name, designation, official address, email, and telephone number.
- Reviewers are not necessarily selected from the author-suggested list. Approaching reviewers directly by authors will lead to immediate rejection of the manuscript.
Ethical guidelines are developed in accordance with the standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors must write a bioethical statement at the start of the Materials and Methods section.
Ethics Committee or Institutional Bioethics Committee approval is mandatory when human or animal/bird subjects or samples are involved in the research. Written consent from patients (or relatives/guardians) is also required before submission.
All animal experiments must comply with the ARRIVE guidelines and the UK Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986, EU Directive 2010/63/EU, or the US Public Health Service Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, as applicable.
- Submission declaration: Submission confirms the work has not been previously published (except as abstract or thesis), is not under consideration elsewhere, and is approved by all authors.
- The major scientific accomplishment and novelty of the study must be stated in the Cover Letter.
- Submission requires metadata for all authors including email, postal address, telephone, and ORCiD. Authors may register for free at orcid.org.
- The author(s) are fully responsible for all statements and concepts contained in the manuscript.
- Duplication of results in Tables, Figures, or in the main text is not allowed.
- Authors are encouraged to use EndNote software for managing references. Only references closely related to the author's work are allowed for citation.
- Illustrations, graphs, and photographs must be supplied as digitized files in .JPG, .JPEG, or .TIFF format at a minimum of 300 dpi.
- Authors' Contributions: Every listed author must have made a substantial intellectual contribution. A contributions statement is required for all submissions.
- Proofs of accepted manuscripts are sent to corresponding authors and must be returned within 72 hours.
- Changes to authorship after submission require written confirmation from all listed authors and must be addressed to the Editor by the corresponding author.
No reprints are supplied. All articles are published as open access and freely available to download from the journal website.
Figures are identified as Fig. 1, Fig. 2, etc. Tables are identified as Table 1, Table 2, etc. Each table must not exceed one A4 page. All figures and tables must be referenced within the main text.
Citations in the text should follow the author–year format: Qasem (2019) or (Qasem 2019), Daba and Mekonnen (2022), or Degla et al. (2022). The full names of all authors and the full journal name must be written in the reference list, arranged alphabetically.
The journal abbreviation for Darvaish Life is Sci. Rec. (Sci Rec). Only references closely related to the author's work may be cited.
All authors must declare any financial and personal relationships with other people or institutions that could affect their research work. Examples of potential conflicts of interest include employment, friendship/kinship, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert evidence, patent applications/registrations, and grants or other funding.
All authors — including those without competing interests — must include a declaration of competing interest statement. Where relevant, this may simply state they have nothing to declare.
These minimal publication charges cover web hosting and maintenance, peer review administration, professional production of articles, and dissemination. Charges are payable post-acceptance. Once an article is published online, no refund is possible.
No payment information is requested before an article is accepted. The ability to pay cannot influence editorial decisions.
Darvaish Life is committed to building research capacity for authors from underdeveloped and developing countries. The Editorial Board recognises that some authors do not have access to funds to cover publication charges and therefore accepts partial payment where limited funds are available.

Reviewer Discount: Any reviewer who returns a complete, on-time review receives a 20% discount on publication charges for a paper where they are the corresponding author, if submitted within 12 months of completing the review.
Darvaish Life provides online access to all published articles free of charge to the end-user. By default, articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, which allows reuse subject to the use being non-commercial and the article being fully attributed.
All open-access articles are freely available from the date of publication and are protected by copyright under Creative Commons. For commercial use, the journal's normal permissions policy applies.
